Man Up to Cancer 2023

The Nanaimo Sea Wolves Menfs Cancer Pack was founded by Greg Brown and Don Helgeson, who are both prostate cancer survivors. They have hosted local meetings and cancer retreats, and offer eChemotherapyf backpacks for men going through cancer, among other supports. We were happy to be one of the many local sponsors to this yearsf Man Up to Cancer event, hosted by our friends at Wolf Brewing. The event featured a panel of five individuals, ranging from patients to medical professionals, food trucks, games, a silent auction, raffle draws, and excellent beer! This was the second annual event in Nanaimo and, despite the weather, successfully raised over $15,000!

CommunityVotes 2021

CommunityVotes is a program where members of the community can recognize the outstanding businesses and services that make peoplefs lives that much better each day. CommunityVotes has provided a platform for millions of people across the Province to nominate and vote for anything from their favourite place to dine on the weekend, the friendly mechanic who they trust when they are in a bind, the realtor who helped them move into their perfect home in the right neighbourhood, or their favourite transportation provider that is entrusted to handle their product on-time and damage-free. Community-driven recognition of local businesses and services provide key insights that can help make the most of important purchases and decisions while saving time finding the trusted business to get the job done right.

Diamond Delivery finished ahead of well-known luminaries as RPX Logistics and UPS, among others, to be awarded GOLD STATUS in the community. This prestigious award is a testament to the unwavering dedication, commitment and enthusiasm of our staff and drivers to their customers and their community - we are VERY fortunate to have them part of our family, exemplifying our culture, values and philosophy.

Congratulations TEAM KELOWNA!

Four Walls Make a Home!

Meet the Walls, who have grown their family through adoption.
This remarkable family recognized a need to celebrate and support the adoption community, especially though the difficult days of social distancing.
To do this, they started Four Walls Make a Home, a charitable organization filling boxes for new adoptive families in British Columbia to make them feel loved, celebrated, supported and not alone during this huge transition in their adoption journey.
Through the contributions of local businesses and individuals on Vancouver Island, they are warming hearts across the province, and Diamond Delivery & First Canadian Messenger are with them, delivering these packages to homes across our delivery network.

A Christmas Miracle.

Back in December, the Foundation for the Children of Haiti were on a mission to send Christmas presents to the children at Hope Home in Haiti. Normally the team travels an works at the home twice a year and carries the presents in their luggage. Covid restricted travel in 2020. but the team was undeterred.
Thank you to the incredible support of Diamond Delivery and Rick's Heart Foundation for making sure the packages arrived just in time to meet an Air Transat flight. After numerous connections, it was cleared from customs just moments before the party was to begin.

The children were already for their party and were absolutely overjoyed to see the unexpected truck arrive with their presents!
The smiles say it all. I am sure the noise was heard all over the neighbourhood.

The smiles and laughter and joy were felt here in Victoria as well. All of us who were involved were adding our joyful praise along with the children in Haiti.

Miracles do occur- and Christmas ones are incredibly special.

Blessings,

Team Parkinson.

Diamond Delivery is a proud supporter of the North Vancouver Island Junior Curling Team, Team Parkinson. During a year when securing sponsorship and scheduling sporting events has become increasingly difficult due to Covid-19, we are happy for the opportunity to participate in the teamfs endeavors.

Spectators are limited during league play, but coaches Bob and Bob report these young gentlemen are not only winning games, but are also focused on improving strategy, execution and team spirit. They are role models by wearing masks and respecting physical distancing during games.

Please join us in cheering the team on to further success! Chris, Jackson, Connor, Christian, Graham - You are inspirational!

Coming together to support our communities!

With pubs and restaurants closed down, Vancouver Island Brewing had a lot of excess beer on hand, and so donated this beer to Stillhead Distillery to turn that beer into much needed sanitizer.
Stillhead is now producing the alcohol-based hand rub, and this past Friday donated 120 bottles to Pacifica Housing.
Diamond Delivery
is proud to be a part of this great program by providing the transportation, and added cases of water and toilet paper to the Pacifica donation.
Thank you to all those who continue to support our communities during this difficult time.  Stay Safe!

Two wishes.

Diamond Delivery is proud to have sponsored little Luke & Rachael in the last few months.

We're glad they both had a wonderful experience, and are wishing the best for them!

Kelowna Gospel Mission.

The Gospel Mission was a successful event with the Diamond Kelowna team.
Mary and Corrie started off with peeling almost 100 pounds of potatoes in the morning.
The rest of us serving around 150 meals to guests at a sit down dinner consisting of roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy veggies, and garlic toast.
Everyone had a great time and will be looking forward to the next!

Toque Tuesday.

Toque Tuesday is a campaign initiated by the charity organization Raising The Roof to help the homeless.
gThis time of the year, potentially, the coldest and wettest and a tough time of the year,
(itfs about) what those people are going through on the streets right now,h Baillie said during last yearfs tourney.
gIf one day a year, we can make homelessness at the front of our thoughts, thatfs what this is all about,h Baillie added.
Toque Tuesday takes place annually on the first Tuesday in February.

Diamond Delivery has embarked on sponsoring medic training and an ambulance for Liberia.

Diamond Delivery has embarked on sponsoring medic training and an ambulance for Liberia, a nation in sub-Sahara West Africa.
In partnership with the Liberian Ministry of Health and Korle-Bu Neuroscience Foundation (B.C.), an ambulance service launch is anticipated for fall 2018.
In partnership with the Kamloops Firefighters Charity Association, an ambulance was purchased in Montreal and driven across the country by Kamloops firefighter David Sakaki and Rick Diamond, owner of Diamond Delivery.
Along with the ambulance, the container will deliver medic emergency equipment necessary to protect and support critically ill patients along with hospital beds and equipment for Rennie Hospital, a rural hospital severely impacted by Ebola.
Dr. Francis Kateh, Deputy Minister of Health & Chief Medical Officer for Liberia identifies the transformation this service will have on the country.
gThe importance of an organized, centralized EMS (Emergency Medical Services) for our health care delivery system will cannot be overemphasized.
Its impact will be felt at all levels of care and will go a long way in helping us reduce mortalities and improve outcome for our pregnant women , neonates, infants and victims of road traffic accidents.h
A celebratory launch was held at the BC Legislature, attended by MLAs and stakeholders.
The ambulance is being named gPatrickh in honor of a West African engineer who inspired the critical need for an ambulance service.

BC Children's Hospital and Diamond Delivery teamed up to put on the train for the Miracle telethon weekend.

What an honour it was to be there for this wonderful event!

Thank you to all British Colombians for the generous donations!
We have been so blessed to be invited back next year to bring more magic to the success of this great event.
Thank you from all our hearts, Diamond Delivery and BC Children's Hospital.

May 2018 - Grand Forks Flood Response

During the last month British Columbia has experienced high water levels leading to heavy flooding in the regions of Kootenay, Okanagan, and Langley. Diamond Delivery was proud to once again support our community by partnering with GlobalMedic and Proctor & Gamble Canada to help transport 240 Family Clean-Up Kits to the affected community of Grand Forks. Each Clean-Up Kit included a variety cleaning products, along with a bucket and other much needed supplies for those returning to their homes as the waters recede and the recovery begins. These kits are being distributed to those most in need, and will help the affected communities of BC get back on their feet as quickly as possible. Diamond Delivery has been a successful BC-based business for more than 40 years. We maintain a strong focus on community and family, and strive to set an example for corporate social responsibility.
