Nightshift

December 1st, 2009 by admin

Nightshift Ministries

Diamond Delivery is pleased to support Nightshift’s various charity programs which raise funds and awareness to increase quality of life in our local community. Since January 2004, Nightshift has provided counseling, daily hot meals, groceries and clothing to our community’s homeless 365 days a year via outreach street programs.

Two fund raising activities that have enabled Nightshift to continue with its endeavors are the yearly golf tournament held at Northview Golf & Country Club on June 13, and the fundraising Gala on November 21st, which was also at Northview Golf Club. Although the attendance numbers were down from last year for the Gala, the generosity and giving was way up and $62,500 was raised as a result.

In February 2010, Nightshift is moving to a new location at 10635 King George, which will house their Outreach Program, Sisters Marketplace and the new Care Centre which is their licensed counseling centre.

For more information on Nightshift, or to learn how you can help them in the cause, please visit their website at http://www.nightshiftministries.org/

Diamond Trailer Carries Boys and Girls Club Logo

September 1st, 2009 by admin

Diamond_BG_CLub_Trailer

Diamond Delivery proudly unveils one of their semi-trailers carrying the BGCGV logo to help increase BGCGV’s profile throughout the Greater Vancouver area.

A challenge for many not-for-profits is lack of awareness in the community. By displaying the logo on one of our fleet vehicles, not only are we helping the BGCGV brand but we are also showing that our company is a supporter of this worthwhile and very valuable organization. Our hope is that we encourage other corporate organizations to show their support.

Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Vancouver, founded in 1936, is a leading provider of programs that support the healthy physical, educational, and social development of 4,000 young people and their families in the community. The seven Clubs in the Greater Vancouver area create a safe supportive environment where children, youth, and families can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships, and develop confidence and skills for life. Diamond is an environmentally friendly company, committed to being proactive in maintaining a sustainable world.

From adherence to a strong recycling policy, using environmentally friendly cleaning products and landscaping practices in and around our offices to the utilization of less polluting vehicles, Diamond is continually looking at better ways in which we can contribute to a healthier environment.

To honour this commitment, we have adopted a street. Comber Way is now officially cared for by Diamond staff. Look for our staff on Fridays helping to keep our environment safe and clean.

We encourage you to participate in this program and lend a helping hand to your community. If you or your organization would like information about this program please contact the City of Surrey Engineering Operations Division @ 604-590-7200.
